Everything was delicious and the staff was really nice! We had the jumbo shrimp cocktail, the Belgian Caesar salad, the Stuffed Avocado salad, the Lil Guy pizza, the Diavola pizza, and the Quattro Formaggio pizza. It was all delicious, but the Lil Guy was my absolute favorite. I'll definitely be back!
Tucked away behind the Pooch Hotel on East Avenue in Norwalk is a surprising Italian/pizza restaurant that everyone should try. Nestled between two fairly new apartment buildings, the Brim & Crown, the Magic pie Restaurant is a pleasant surprise. The location is easy to access but tucked away off E. Avenue. It is on the ground floor of an apartment building with a large outdoor courtyard. Outside, there are plenty of tables, a bar and usually a large portable pizza cooker. Inside there is a nice bar with about 15 barstools and a wide variety of wine, beer and spirits. They make a mean cosmopolitan... a “meticulously curated selection of local craft beers and a well-stocked bar.” Their menu has now evolved into a full menu of salads, appetizers, pizzas, and desserts. At first, the pizza did not appeal. I am used to a New York slice, the traditional, thin crust, large pizza You get in New York City or New Haven or Boston. This pizza is smaller and fresher (and healthier, I think.) All the ingredients are fresh and there are so many different combinations they serve or you can build your own pizza. Their salads, especially the wedge salad or brussels sprout salad are delicious. Just the other day I ordered meatballs (which are to die for) served with a small amount of sauce and fresh burrata.....Yum. The desserts are amazing. I have tried the tiramisu cake and the ice cream nachos both of which I highly recommend. In the nice weather the courtyard is very popular and there is a festive fun welcoming atmosphere at all times. The The staff are friendly, well mannered, and efficient. They are very chill so no request that I’ve ever made have been rebuffed. The only issue I have is the high decibel music that is always playing. This is NOT the only restaurant I find this with, but when a restaurant first opens in the day, the staff usually have the music blasting, and when people start filling up, they forget, but the music was blasting. But any time I have brought this to their attention they immediately turn the volume down. I love the Magic pie Restaurant for fresh Italian food, good Prosecco/wine, yummy desserts, and fresh wood fired pizza!
Amazing pizza - like an in between of colony and traditional neopolitan style crust & very fresh toppings. Extremely fairly priced also. Went in the winter but the outdoor area looks awesome for warm weather
Upbeat music complements friendly service and delicious food. Lots of vegetarian options for both pizza and non-pizza. Sit outside if weather permits. Try the Cauliflower!!! Try the Mediterranean Pizza!!! Parking costs , so bring your ParkMobile app (or park on the side streets and walk to the courtyard).
We love this place! The pizza is really good and they’re very generous with the basil which is much appreciated. The atmosphere is nice and chill. We especially love the bartenders who always make us feel welcome. Magic 5 pie has definitely become one of our go to spots. :) thank you!
Amazing meal and Jaylin made a great sangria!! Coming from NYC the taste was right there but the prices followed but don’t let that stop you as this place is very underrated and should be packed to the brim to get in! Amazing flavor and service. The Belgian Cesar salad is attached but the pizza was gone before I could get a pic!
Hidden beauty. Beautiful clean & rustic outdoor and indoor set up. High ceilings and lighting make space feel open and spacious. Lovely setting for small group gatherings. Music was a bit loud for my taste. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Food was fresh and tasty! Recommend The Bourdain Definitely would go back and take others with me.
Killlller stuffed avocado with crab. Light and healthy with lots of flavor. Pizza are delicious Diego goes above and beyond to make customers happy and always makes us feel welcome. For dessert The Tiramisu is highly recommended ;)
